St. George

So, before I can tell you about this great weekend trip we just had, I need to go way back to when Emily was just a little girl. She grew up listening to the music from Les Miserables and has wanted to see it for years. In May, when I saw that it was playing at the Tuacahn in St. George, I knew that we had to go. So, I bought our tickets and booked a condo for this last weekend since both the kids and I had a fall break at the same time.I was worried at first that the Tuacahn would do a production along the lines of a road show but was told by many that they really do a professional job. Oh...did they! It was so awesome! I loved surprising my family with 2nd row, center tickets (it pays to get tickets early). I loved watching their faces as we kept going down, down, down until they found our row. It was fun!

The weather in St. George was perfect!
We loved playing in the pool and going rock climbing. I'm going to post some pictures of that,
but I didn't take any pictures of my favorite past time...sleeping and relaxing and resting. It was a nice break from this hectic life!

We all really enjoyed the rock climbing. A friend of mine told me about "The Crack" which is a space between rocks that, as an adult, you pretty much have to squeeze yourself through.
A certain someone in our house feels badly that he couldn't fit through...so I'm not naming any names. Also, this is not for anyone suffering from claustrophobia.

More rock climbing....

Is Katie being scared in that last picture? I am glad that you guys got to do something for once. I remember watching Emily while you and Olin went and saw Les Mesirables a long time ago. :) Also tell J that her hair looks cute.

I'm glad you loved the trip! Now you know why we go there so much. I'm just jealous of Les Miserables--now I'm kicking myself for not going--oh well!
