My life would not be complete without these women. Marta, Lisa, Becca and Carolyn. They have made sure that I have a place to go to for comfort and love. For Christmas 2012, they splurged and gave me a shopping trip. Here was the poem that came with the gift.
Christmas is here and we of course thought of you!
Because we're aware there's so much you must do.
We know your life's crazy and a little bit hard
So this year for Christmas, you get more than a card.
We found this great Barbie(she's a little worn out)
But with some love and care - we all have no doubt
She'll turn right around and feel fresh and renewed
And she'll definitely be in the best kind of mood.
We know all she needs is a night on the town,
To spoil herself and to run all around
Yes, a night with her friends - to shop and to eat
And also to spend time off of her feet
The gift card she bares has a few little rules -
Every penny's for you - not a cent for your girls.
And it has to be used when we're all together
On a weekend in January - no matter the weather.
We will be in charge, and we will make it work
Because a night out with you is a really big perk
And of course we will spoil you, with shopping and such
Because we all love you so very much!
