Another day at the State Developmental Center
On Monday, October 29. I was back at the Developmental Center. This time I was assigned to a family. I was surprised when I walked in the door. It was a big apartment with a kitchen, living room, bedrooms and big bathroom. Six women were in this family. The CNAs or as they call them there, the developmentalists, do everything for them. They get them up and showered and dressed. They buy their food and cook it for them and feed them. They take them out shopping or on field trips. It was amazing. I really think the people are treated well there.
