This was going around on Facebook awhile ago and I saw that my niece also put hers on her blog, so I thought that I would too. It is a "cheap" blog entry, I know, but it still works for me!
1. I love to read the newspaper every morning. I have since I was in high school. There are mornings that I just can't read it, but I still do most of the time.
2. If I get a chance to read the paper, I always read the obituaries.
3. I consider myself an information junkie. If I am interested in something, I want to know everything about it. If I hear something that I don't know about, I google it.
4. I seldom talk about the information that I find out. I have no need to tell others the things that I know. If they are in my head, I'm good with that.
5. I was painfully shy as a child. My mom tried so hard to get me to talk to people. She would make me order my own food if we went out to eat. That was complete torture!
6. I remember random tid bits about people. Like their favorite color or their favorite things to eat or a gift that they would love to have, etc.
7. Sometimes, I worry that people will think that I am a stalker because I know things that they have told me but forgotten that they told me. I just want to tell them that I am NOT obsessing about them!
8. I empathize too easily with people. If you are crying, I'll be crying in a minute.
9. I was deathly afraid of water while I was growing up (due to an accident at the age of 3 where I nearly drowned). My mom told me that I didn't even like to take baths because of it.
10. At the age of 35, I learned how to swim and then certified in scuba diving.
11. In the 4th grade, I broke my little finger catching a NERF football.
12. I grew up with a family that rode motorcycles. I'm pretty sure that the emergency room in the small town I grew up in knew us my name. :D
13. My first job was picking cherries.
14. I was born with a club foot and had to wear a series of casts as a baby to straighten it out. (Fortunately, it wasn't serious enough for sugery.)
15. I had my gall bladder removed 2 weeks after my last baby was born.
16. That isn't the only organ that I have had removed.
17. Dennis, Deborah, DeAnna, Dina, Danny, Dana, Deny....these are my parents and siblings....do you know how confusing that gets?
18. With all 5 of my kids, I never had morning sickness or found out what their sex was (and didn't want to either).
19. I was born while my dad was in Vietnam and was 3 months old when he got home.
20. I am teased for not liking the food on my plate to touch. I call it "portion control". :D
21. My last baby was born in the hospital but before the doctor could get there. I can still remember the look between my husband and the nurse when he "popped" out.
22. I very seldom raise my voice. This is part of the reason why my baby was delivered without a doctor. The nurse was positive that I would be screaming/yelling if I was that close to delivering. (No epidural)
23. I have a terrible memory for movies. I can watch the same movie several times before it doesn't feel like a new movie to me.
24. I am a planner...I probably have a plan for everything.
25. This list was extremely hard to write. It almost felt like homework. Can you think of a random fact about me?
**My brother replied to this and mentioned that I don't like tomatoes. This is true and I don't like sour cream either!!
