Back to School

In case you didn't already know, I happen to be one of those moms that love having their kids home during the summer. We just have so much fun! So, the day back to school tends to be a sad day for this mom. Although, I could tell that they were ready to go back since they were starting to get a bit snippy with each other.

They all leave within a one hour time span. Emily drives herself to school first. Then, Julia walks to the end of the street to catch the bus for junior high. Then, Becca, Katie, and Jacob go to elementary school. They all come home at the same time.

They all seemed to enjoy their first day of school. I hope it continues to go that way. I heard Katie tell Jacob that he could eat lunch with her since he is in first grade, but he told her that he wanted to eat with his friends. That really surprised me since my girls always wanted to eat with a sister when they started first grade. Boys are so different. So much tougher!

Here is a picture of my three going to elementary school. Becca and Katie wanted the picture taken in front of the pretty flowers, but Jacob was upset that I wanted to take the picture. He told me that he would be late for school. I wondered when he started worrying about the time!
