First Day of the Nursing Program

I actually went back to school last year when Jacob went to kindergarten to finish my prerequisites to be able to apply to the nursing program. I found out I was accepted in June and started my first day today. There was a four hour long orientation meeting, then an hour long break, then a two hour meeting with all of the nursing students. I can't remember the last time that I've sat for that long.

There was alot of information that seems a bit overwhelming, but my friend, Marta, who is a nurse now, told me to just take it one day at a time and not let it all freak me out. I am trying to take her advice. I'll be filling everyone in on my many adventures on the road to becoming a nurse as it goes.

I'm sure you're a little bit freaked out and unsure of yourself, but when you feel that way, don't forget how capable you are and how much confidence we all have in you! (You can even borrow mine until yours comes back) You are amazing and I can't wait to hear about all of your adventures!

You will be an awesome nurse. You have both the compasion and sense of humor that patients need to be treated with. You will do fine in school. You did a great job raising 5 beautiful, smart respectful children, so you can do anything!!
And I am sure that what you learned in the "play school" we did every year when you came to visit will come back to you and be very helpful!! Good Luck
