We went to Starlight Mountain Theater in Garden Valley on Saturday night. My parents and Dina's family have season tickets to the plays there. It is an outdoor theater about an hour from my parents up into the mountains. The weird thing is that Dave, Olin's brother, is playing the General in the Pirates of Penzance which meant that his wife, Tiffany, and Olin's parents were there also. He did such a great job. The play was hilarious and had all of us rolling in our seats.
During intermission, the theater sends some guys around selling licorice ropes for $1. This also includes a kiss. Well, Dina's husband, Dale, paid for every female in our group to get one. At the end of intermission, they announced that they had sold all of their licorice ropes thanks to our section. We all whooped and hollered.
The Pirates of Penzance . . . Goes West!
This famously wacky and entertaining Gilbert & Sullivan hit takes on a new look as the jaunty pirates, bumbling policemen and eccentric Major General move from Victorian England to the wharf of 1880’s San Francisco. This classic score blends with western cowboy sensibility to produce a side-splitting original comedy the whole family will love!

I'm surprised that he didn't buy one for Olin. Olin would have loved a kiss!
